Thanks for reading my SEO Copywriting Tips. Mastering the art of SEO Copywriting can prove to be vital to your success in online marketing. SEO copyrighting is not the same as regular copywriting, which is concerned more with making a site successful and converting visitors to customers or subscribers. Search Engine Optimization Copywriting is concerned with getting visitors to your web page by getting your site to rank higher in the search engines for particular keywords or search terms. The purpose of SEO is for your web page to be found on the first page of Google and other search engines. On the other hand, your content should be written for human enjoyment as well. The content should to be relevant to the target audience and provide information of value. But we will focus here on helping your web pages appeal to the search engines by optimizing a variety of on-page elements.

The first thing you should do to optimize your content is to craft a good unique title. The title tag of your site or article will determine how your page ranks in the search engines than anything else. Your title should contain any keywords that you want to rank for. You should ensure that your title is descriptive and as unique as possible. When Google crawls your page, it is going to look at your title to determine what the rest of your page is about. You also want to ensure that your title is enclosed in H1 tags, as Google and other search engines assume that what is enclosed in the H1 tags states what the page is all about.

You want to be sure to pay close attention to the Description too. You should also place your keywords in the description. Most search engines treat the text between the Description meta tags as the Cliff notes for your webpage, and will often show this text on the SERP (search engine results page). So you see the description is important to the search engines, but it needs to be enticing enough for the person looking for you content, that they will click the link to your site after reading the description. So tell them what they want to know or let them know that you have what they are looking for.

The Keywords meta-tag is nowhere near as important as it used to be to the search engines because of repeated abuse and keyword stuffing. Now your content is now a more important area to strategically place your keywords in. It is suggested that you put the search terms you want to rank for at the beginning of the first paragraph, near the bottom of the page, and maybe once or twice in the middle paragraphs. You want to be careful not to overuse the keywords or the search engines may determine that you are trying to spam them. The rule of thumb is that your keyword phrase should not account for more than 2 percent of your total word count. It is better to use synonyms or words with similar meanings to avoid keyword stuffing. Besides, the search engines appreciate it when you use synonyms. This practice is known as 'latent semantic indexing'. This will actually qualify you for more search terms. Finally, like the H1 tags, the search engines treat text within header, bold and italics tags as important. So any bolded text, italized text, or other headers (H2 and H3) should contain keywords as well.

SEO Copywriter does have a downside, which is it doesn't work very well at all for very competitive search terms. So if you are looking for insurance, work from home, home business, etc., those would be pretty competitive terms and it would be pretty hard to get to the top of Google using those keywords. In this case, you would want to use long-tailed keywords, which are basically an expansion of your core keyword into a more specific combination of words.

The takeway from this article, the most important thing is that content is king. If you provide information that has value for your targeted audience, they will in turn tell other people about it, which will create inbound links to your site as well as increase your site popularity, which is what you want. So what you want to do, in my opinion, is to write good, persuasive, informative, and relevant content for people and then optimize that content for the search engine spiders or crawlers. If the people likes your content, chances are the search engines will too. If you follow the above SEO Copywriting tips, they most certainly will.

I hope that you enjoyed reading SEO Copywriting Tips.
